In 2002 the Laser Laces® came to mind but action to develop them had not occurred, by late 2004 the first prototype was patent pending and 2006 the Laser Laces® were born as a real product! There have been many updates using the same concept but changing the power units design allowed us to once and for all perfect the cool shoelaces. The Laser Laces® are the only battery operated fiber optic shoelace that works correctly and exists in the shoe accessory market!

You may have used rope lighting or at least seen it. The big issue with rope lighting or trying to use this concept as a lighted shoelace is once one LED chain link is broken the light and power source fails to illuminate other LED's! Therefore, the Laser Laces® utilizes a Teflon® coated Sideglow® fiber optic cable to carry and bend the bright light through the shoe. The thick Teflon® jacket around the fiber optic keeps the shoelaces protected and makes them last a very long time! Also the Laser Laces are water and weather resistant!

Using our patented Sideglow fiber optic technology we can illuminate any part of the shoe, boot, skate and or sandal! However one of the best things about the Laser Laces® is they are not limited to being only used as a light up shoe lace. You can use the shoelaces as an illuminated necklace, lighted bracelet with three flash settings, they have replaceable batteries and can be worn as an ankle flashing bracelet with three light settings.

When set the Laser Laces® to flash you receive over 60 hours on one set of standard 2025 batteries (found at all local stores). All Laser Lace® colors have three settings except for the multi-color chipset. The multi color is a unique chipset allows you to have four colors in one LED rotating at a fast or slow speed!

The Laser Laces® are the world's only glowing shoelaces that run on batteries giving you the option to choose whatever color you want to wear. Instead of seeing kids try to watch their heel of their shoes light up while they walk now you can see their entire shoes glow with whatever color they choose! From a constant on to flash, flash faster and off you set the tone and the light color on your shoes! Each lace is 26 inches which could be cut with siccors to shorten. The shoelaces are also Teflon® coated to last through all the wear and tear shoelaces go through!
